Purpose and Objectives Fundraising is critical to our existence. It helps keep the costs of our program down. Without the dreaded fundraising, we would need to increase the cost of registration significantly to keep up with all the financial needs of a program anticipating over 700 girls this year. We are always looking for the best ways to bring money into the program so we can keep the impact on the families as small as possible. In the past, we have relied heavily on sponsors, raffles, the old tagging (canning), and last year's cow pie bingo. We added the selling of athletic wear with Franklin Fast pitch silk-screened onto heavy-duty sweats, nylon jackets, cotton shirts and shorts, hats & visors. We will be adding new items this year. Look for them at registration.
We re-evaluate our fundraising efforts every year to determine the best strategy for the upcoming year. Well, with the costs for the program continuing to rise over the last few years, we are always looking for innovative (and hopefully fun) ways to raise money. This is an area that needs your help most, so if you have any creativity at all, please consider volunteering your time to help keep the program as affordable as possible.
We hope no girl who wants to play fast pitch softball is ever discouraged because it is too expensive. Help us if you can.
FUNDRAISING CALENDAR RAFFLE Fundraising is not easy, but it is essential to our program. After evaluating several options, the FGSA Board has decided on a Calendar Raffle for our fundraiser. Each family will be required to purchase a set of raffle tickets at registration. A set includes 15 Tickets at a cost of $50. Tickets are to be sold for $5 each. That's right, you buy the set for $50 and sell all your tickets for a total of $75. A Win-Win situation for you and the program. Save money on your registration while providing the program the funds it needs to operate.
